2022 Northern Plains Indian Art Market
After taking two years off to protect the health of our people, the 33rd Annual Northern Plains Indian Art Market (NPIAM) was held at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown in Sioux Falls, SD on September 24-25, 2022. The Juried Art Show & Reception was held at the Old Courthouse Museum the evening before giving collectors and buyers the opportunity to see and purchase winning pieces before the market opened to the public.
This year the jurors were CJ Brafford // Executive Director // Ute Indian Museum, Joe Williams // Director of Community Education of Native American Programs // Plains Art Museum, and America Meredith // Publishing Editor // First American Art Magazine. The juried winners in all the divisions can be found by clicking the button below
Both events were well attended, with a steady flow of foot traffic. The artists were very appreciative of the opportunity to present their art to people, in addition, to seeing old friends. It was a great event; a combination of fantastic art and the ability to see friends, old and new, in person. The energy invoked by all was invigorating. Some of the pieces can be viewed here
