As in the past, the Northern Plains Indian Arts Market is highlighted by the juried art show along with the ensuing market that provides an opportunity for buyers and collectors during the four day event period. Sinte Gleska University is also sponsoring a wacipi (pow wow) on Saturday evening and several educational events related to Northern Plains art, music, dance and philosophy. Since our founding in 1970, Sinte Gleska University has been committed to an educational direction and philosophy that both promotes and preserves our Lakol Wicohan (traditional way of life) for the benefit of our future generations.
It is our pride and pleasure to showcase the outstanding art of the Northern Plains, and we welcome you to share in celebrating the life ways of the indigenous people of the Northern Plains. Sinte Gleska University invites you to participate in all the cultural and education activities provided here, and send our hopes that you enjoy time making new friends and learning about tribal arts as perpetuated by the array of talented Northern Plains artists who grace our Market and Show.
Sinte Gleska University continues in serving as host for this prestigious event featuring the work of tribal artists from throughout the Northern Plains region.
